Description
Assess, plan, and deliver vocational rehabilitation services to help individuals with disabilities or injuries prepare for, obtain, and retain employment. Conduct assessments, develop individualized employment plans, coordinate training and accommodations, and collaborate with employers and care teams to remove barriers and support work participation and independence.
- • Maintain comprehensive case records and service documentation.
- • Track client progress and prepare outcome reports.
- • Assess functional capacity, transferable skills, and medical limitations to set vocational goals.
- • Deliver work-readiness and life-management training aligned with abilities.
- • Plan and coordinate individualized vocational rehabilitation services across settings.
- • Recommend workplace accommodations and job modifications in compliance with the ADA.
- • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align vocational goals with treatment plans.
- • Provide cognitive and skills training (decision-making, memory aids, sequencing) using appropriate technology.
- • Lead group workshops on job search, stress management, communication, and self-advocacy.
- • Train and mentor staff, interns, or job coaches in vocational rehabilitation practices.
- • Arrange and train clients on assistive technology and ergonomic equipment.
- • Develop work-based learning, internships, and work-adjustment programs.
- • Prepare and maintain training materials, assessment tools, and adaptive devices.
- • Advise on workplace health risks, safe return-to-work, and transitions, including disability leave or retirement.
- • Conduct program evaluation, outcomes analysis, or quality improvement initiatives.
- • Provide job development, employer outreach, placement, and retention support.
- • Educate families, employers, and support networks on sustaining accommodations and employment.
