Care for children while traveling with families, ensuring their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs are met across flights, road trips, and varied destinations. Duties include packing and managing children's gear and documents; coordinating itineraries around routines and time zones; planning meals and snacks on the go; hotel/rental childproofing; organizing enrichment and outings; discipline and safety in transit; light laundry and clothing care; and arranging safe transportation.
  • • Administer first aid and CPR as needed during travel.
  • • Manage naps and overnight sleep across time zones and transport.
  • • Coordinate daily with parents on plans, routines, and child well-being.
  • • Plan, source, and serve healthy meals and snacks in transit and at destinations.
  • • Teach and enforce travel safety in airports, hotels, public transit, and streets.
  • • Organize age-appropriate activities for flights, road trips, and destinations.
  • • Monitor health, manage medications, handle motion sickness, and seek care when needed.
  • • Model positive social behavior and cultural sensitivity in diverse settings.
  • • Maintain consistent discipline and behavior expectations on the road.
  • • Build and adjust travel itineraries around children's routines and energy levels.
  • • Support homework and educational activities while traveling.
  • • Encourage responsibility for personal items, packing, and tidy spaces.
  • • Escort children through check-in, security, customs, and boarding.
  • • Arrange and install appropriate car seats; book safe ground transportation.
  • • Maintain clean, organized travel and lodging areas; manage laundry as needed.
  • • Reinforce hygiene, sleep, and toilet routines in unfamiliar environments.
  • • Track schedules, expenses, and travel documentation, including passports and consent letters.
  • • Provide portable enrichment—reading, crafts, games, and cultural learning.
  • • Childproof hotel rooms or rentals and set safety rules for new spaces.
  • • Pack, unpack, and manage children's luggage, gear, and essentials; replenish travel kits.
  • • Procure supplies, clothing, and necessities at destinations.
