Oversee daily operations of a radio station, coordinating programming, production, engineering, and maintenance to deliver compliant, reliable, high-quality broadcasts across on-air and digital platforms.
  • • Direct technical and operational aspects of live shows and newscasts, ensuring seamless source changes, imaging, and overall on-air quality.
  • • Test and verify proper operation of studio, transmitter, STL, and remote-broadcast equipment.
  • • Monitor on-air and streaming outputs to ensure compliance with FCC rules, station policies, and advertising and music licensing standards.
  • • Monitor audio levels and content, guiding board operators and producers on mix, pacing, and content standards.
  • • Act as liaison between engineering and programming and production teams.
  • • Supervise, schedule, and assign duties to on-air, production, and technical staff.
  • • Schedule studios, production booths, and editing suites for shows, promos, and maintenance.
  • • Confer with operations and program directors to define and maintain attainable technical and operational policies.
  • • Operate audio consoles, automation systems, and remote kits to produce programs or broadcast live remotes.
  • • Train staff in the use of consoles, automation, audio editors, microphones, codecs, and communication systems.
  • • Manage audio sources and automation logs, triggering imaging, spots, live inserts, and network joins.
  • • Set up and execute audio transitions and effects, such as fades, crossfades, ducking, and processing adjustments.
  • • Collaborate with promotions to produce on-air station promotions, sweepers, and contest imaging.
  • • Coordinate and document EAS tests and alerts, transmitter logs, and other required regulatory records.
  • • Follow program clocks and real-time cues from program directors and producers for breaks, traffic, and content changes.
