Description
Lead the planning and execution of studio and remote radio/TV productions, coordinating technical and creative teams, facilities, schedules, and budgets to deliver high-quality, compliant programs on time and on budget.
- • Oversee day-to-day production operations and on-air quality, coordinating technical directing, graphics, and camera teams.
- • Coordinate equipment readiness and maintenance with engineering; ensure gear availability for shoots.
- • Monitor productions and broadcasts for compliance with network policies, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- • Translate creative vision into actionable shot lists, schedules, and crew plans with directors and DPs.
- • Serve as primary liaison between production, engineering, newsroom, and post to resolve issues quickly.
- • Hire, schedule, and supervise crew; assign responsibilities and manage staffing levels and timecards.
- • Build and manage production calendars, call sheets, and bookings for studios, control rooms, and edit bays.
- • Develop, document, and enforce production procedures, technical standards, and safety protocols with operations leadership.
- • Plan and manage studio and remote productions, including logistics, permits, travel, and transmission coordination.
- • Organize training and onboarding on workflows, equipment, and safety with department leads.
- • Oversee rundown preparation and coordination with the technical director for multi-camera shows.
- • Ensure graphics, playback, and effects assets are requested, delivered, tested, and ready for air.
- • Partner with promotions and marketing to schedule promo shoots and ensure timely delivery of on-air assets.
- • Lead production meetings and pre-production to align creative choices with schedules, budgets, and resources.
- • Track budgets, POs, and expenses; negotiate with vendors and manage rentals to deliver on time and on budget.
