Description
Lead daily manufacturing operations, coordinating people, materials, equipment, and schedules to meet cost, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
  • • Plan and manage budgets; approve spending for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • • Set production schedules and staffing plans within cost and time constraints.
  • • Monitor inventory and coordinate material requisitions to meet demand.
  • • Review operations and collaborate with technical or administrative staff to resolve issues.
  • • Recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and, when necessary, discipline staff.
  • • Implement inventory control and cost reduction programs.
  • • Maintain accurate production, quality, and personnel records.
  • • Establish and enforce product and process quality standards; oversee testing.
  • • Implement production tracking and quality systems; analyze KPIs to detect problems.
  • • Partner with engineering or R&D to introduce new products or processes.
  • • Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades or replacements.
  • • Maintain current knowledge of quality control, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
  • • Negotiate with suppliers on material pricing and delivery terms.
  • • Conduct safety and environmental audits and correct deficiencies.
  • • Develop, enforce, and drill standard and emergency operating procedures.
  • • Maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • • Monitor permit and regulatory requirements for updates.
  • • Optimize throughput, yield, and costs while meeting safety and compliance expectations.
  • • Prepare and present reports on output, efficiency, downtime, and resource utilization.
  • • Lead and develop frontline supervisors and production teams.
  • • Direct daily production, processing, and distribution activities.
