Description
Support day-to-day HR operations by maintaining and updating personnel records; recording employee data (addresses, roles, attendance, performance notes, and separations); preparing and filing HR reports and documents; and retrieving or furnishing employee information to authorized parties. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and benefits processes in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and job applicants.
- • Enter and update employee information in HRIS, including contact details, job data, attendance, performance notes, and separations.
- • Screen applications for basic qualifications and eligibility.
- • Answer candidate and employee inquiries about hiring steps, eligibility, and benefits.
- • Review personnel files to support HR actions and respond to authorized inquiries.
- • Collect personnel documents from departments and employees.
- • Provide verified employment information to authorized requesters, such as background screeners and lenders.
- • Conduct initial phone screens or coordinate interviews to verify applicant information.
- • Coordinate background checks and reference verifications with vendors and previous employers.
- • Compile HR reports and prepare personnel documents.
- • Communicate application outcomes and next steps to candidates.
- • Shortlist qualified applicants and route them to hiring managers.
- • Schedule and track in-house and external training.
- • Post job openings and manage requisitions across job boards and internal sites.
- • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and workers' compensation paperwork.
- • Prepare employee badges and manage access requests.
- • Administer candidate assessments and record results.
- • Process and maintain documentation for staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, evaluations, job changes, and leaves of absence.
- • Coordinate and help deliver new hire orientation and onboarding.
