Description
Maintain and update employee benefits records; process enrollments, changes, and terminations; and provide information to authorized parties. Answer employee inquiries about coverage and eligibility, coordinate with carriers and third-party administrators, and prepare benefits-related reports and documents. Support open enrollment and benefits orientations while ensuring accurate filing and confidentiality.
  • • Explain company benefits, eligibility, costs, and enrollment procedures to employees and applicants.
  • • Collect, record, and update benefits data for each employee, including elections, dependents, beneficiaries, and qualifying life events.
  • • Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS or benefits platforms.
  • • Answer inquiries about coverage effective dates, plan options, premiums, claims contacts, and required documentation.
  • • Verify dependent and beneficiary eligibility and maintain supporting documentation.
  • • Review employee and plan records to provide information for benefits actions and audits.
  • • Obtain benefits information from carriers, third-party administrators, and internal departments as needed.
  • • Provide authorized carriers or agencies with employment or coverage verifications.
  • • Compile and prepare benefits reports, enrollment census files, and plan notices.
  • • Notify employees of enrollment status, deadlines, and next steps.
  • • Refer complex or escalated benefits issues to HR generalists or plan administrators.
  • • Coordinate and support open enrollment activities, including scheduling, communications, meetings, and data entry.
  • • Assist with administration of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA programs.
  • • Track and process leaves of absence and benefits continuation in coordination with FMLA and workers' compensation processes.
  • • Assist employees in obtaining ID cards, plan documents, and carrier contacts.
  • • Maintain, file, and audit benefits records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and policy compliance.
  • • Reconcile carrier invoices against enrollment rosters and research discrepancies with vendors.
  • • Support COBRA or continuation coverage notifications and enrollments with third-party administrators.
  • • Prepare and set up benefits materials for new-hire orientations and onboarding.
