Plan, direct, and coordinate funeral home sales operations. Lead preneed and at-need selling, set pricing and promotions for services and merchandise, manage sales staff and pipelines, ensure regulatory compliance, and align with operations to deliver arrangements.
  • • Lead preneed and at-need sales to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • • Set sales strategies, quotas, and forecasts for services and merchandise.
  • • Plan and run promotions, community outreach, and referral programs.
  • • Attend and present at community events to generate leads.
  • • Conduct market research and analyze competitor pricing and trends.

  • • Recruit, onboard, and schedule sales staff.
  • • Set prices, discount policies, and credit terms within company guidelines.
  • • Review sales reports, budgets, and profitability to drive improvements.
  • • Coordinate handoffs with funeral directors to schedule services and fulfill arrangements.
  • • Resolve customer complaints, billing issues, and post-service inquiries.
  • • Ensure marketing materials, online listings, and merchandising are current and on-brand.
  • • Evaluate and manage vendors such as preneed insurers, lead sources, and marketing agencies.
  • • Maintain required contracts, disclosures, and records for audits and compliance.
  • • Monitor adherence to policies, regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities.
  • • Identify training needs and deliver product and compliance education.
  • • Recommend changes to service packages or product mix to meet community needs and grow revenue.
