Description
Supervise day-to-day freight forwarding operations and teams, optimizing routing, capacity, and carrier utilization across modes. Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation accuracy, coordinate value-added services (storage, drayage, inland transport), resolve exceptions, and drive service, safety, and cost performance.
- • Lead, schedule, and train operations staff across export, import, and domestic teams.
- • Assign workloads and monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- • Oversee route selection aligned to transit time, cost, security, and client requirements.
- • Approve carrier and mode choices; ensure optimal capacity utilization.
- • Secure space with carriers and manage allocations and rollovers.
- • Supervise last-mile delivery, drayage, and storage arrangements.
- • Coordinate special transport for temperature-controlled, hazardous, or sensitive cargo.
- • Review and approve freight quotes and costings.
- • Monitor shipment milestones in TMS; escalate delays and exceptions.
