Monitor and enforce compliance with human rights laws, standards, and policies to ensure organizational operations, employment, and partnerships respect and protect the rights of all people without discrimination or abuse.
  • • Review human rights complaints and incident reports to clarify issues and scope.
  • • Design, monitor, and improve grievance and complaint procedures to ensure timely, safe, and fair resolution.
  • • Prepare human rights assessment reports, metrics, and recommendations for remediation and prevention.
  • • Conduct human rights risk assessments and analyze data to identify systemic risks, including discrimination.
  • • Review contracts and supplier agreements to embed and enforce human rights clauses and due diligence.
  • • Provide guidance to affected or vulnerable groups on rights, reporting channels, and available remedies.
  • • Deliver training and technical assistance to leaders, managers, staff, and partners on human rights and safeguarding.
  • • Verify that policies, procedures, and program plans meet human rights and safeguarding standards.
  • • Engage with community representatives and civil society to develop mitigation plans and technical assistance agreements.
  • • Brief program, procurement, and partnership teams on human rights expectations, due diligence, and reporting.
  • • Support recruitment and vendor selection to ensure human rights due diligence and non-discriminatory practices.
  • • Investigate alleged human rights violations or adverse impacts and document findings and corrective actions.
  • • Interpret human rights laws, international standards, and organizational policies for staff and partners.
  • • Prepare investigation reports on human rights complaints and incidents.
  • • Interview complainants, witnesses, and implicated parties to verify case information.
  • • Facilitate mediation and coordinate remedies with stakeholders to resolve human rights grievances.
  • • Develop and update human rights policies, codes of conduct, and implementation guidelines.
  • • Monitor implementation and impact of human rights policies and corrective actions and report on progress.
