  • • Receive, set up, calibrate, and decontaminate air sampling and monitoring equipment.
  • • Conduct ambient, indoor, and source (stack) air sampling per approved methods.
  • • Operate and maintain gas analyzers, particulate samplers, and real-time monitors.
  • • Perform instrument zero/span checks and document QA/QC procedures.
  • • Prepare and package air samples, filters, and sorbent tubes for shipment or laboratory analysis.
  • • Record field measurements, meteorological data, and observations with photographs.
  • • Validate and process monitoring data; flag and resolve anomalies.
  • • Perform statistical analysis and data correction for air monitoring results.
  • • Generate air monitoring and emissions test reports with tables, charts, and figures.
  • • Inspect facilities and control devices to assess compliance with air permits and regulations.
  • • Assist with stack testing logistics, isokinetic sampling setup, and traverse calculations.
  • • Calibrate and troubleshoot CEMS/PEMS and portable analyzers.
  • • Model pollutant dispersion or impacts using screening tools under supervision.
  • • Evaluate and compare emission control technologies and best practices.
  • • Support development of air permit applications and compliance documentation.
  • • Provide technical support to clients on emission reduction and pollution prevention options.
  • • Develop site-specific sampling plans and equipment specifications.
  • • Arrange proper handling and disposal of used filters, sorbents, and other contaminated materials.
  • • Train or oversee field support staff as needed.
  • • Maintain project logbooks, chain-of-custody forms, and electronic data files.
  • • Review work plans, sampling plans, and standard operating procedures.
  • • Schedule field activities and coordinate site access and safety requirements.
  • • Obtain cylinders, filters, sorbent media, and other supplies; manage inventory.
