Description
Install, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles, including wiring, charging/starting circuits, sensors, control modules, lighting, and integrated accessories.
  • • Diagnose faults in starting, charging, ignition, and lighting systems.
  • • Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and scan tools to test circuits, sensors, and modules.
  • • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service information.
  • • Repair or replace wiring harnesses, connectors, fuses, and relays.
  • • Service and replace batteries, alternators, and starters.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve CAN bus and network communication issues.
  • • Program, code, or initialize ECUs and control modules after repairs.
  • • Install and integrate OEM or aftermarket accessories, such as alarms, lighting, tow wiring, and infotainment units.
  • • Locate and eliminate parasitic battery drains and short circuits.
  • • Perform continuity, voltage drop, and load tests to verify repairs.
  • • Estimate parts and labor, document diagnostics, and complete repair orders.
  • • Communicate findings and recommendations to customers or service advisors and follow safety procedures.
