Description
Teach undergraduate and, as assigned, graduate economics courses as a part-time, non-tenure-track instructor; design instruction, assess learning, and support students in alignment with departmental standards, in person or online.
- • Prepare and deliver lectures and learning activities on microeconomics, macroeconomics, and related topics as assigned.
- • Develop and update syllabi, assignments, projects, and other course materials.
- • Evaluate and grade classwork, exams, and papers using clear, consistent rubrics.
- • Create, administer, and proctor examinations while ensuring academic integrity.
- • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required records in the LMS.
- • Hold regular office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries.
- • Facilitate inclusive, engaging classroom and online discussions.
- • Select and request textbooks, software, datasets, and other instructional resources in coordination with the department.
- • Use the LMS and other tools to post materials, manage submissions, and provide timely feedback.
- • Assess and report student learning outcomes as required by the department.
- • Revise course content and teaching methods based on assessment and feedback.
- • Stay current in economics and pedagogy through reading and professional development.
- • Adhere to institutional policies, calendars, and compliance requirements (e.g., FERPA, ADA).
- • Coordinate with lead faculty or program chair to ensure course alignment and consistency.
- • Participate in required meetings, orientations, and trainings.
- • Refer students to tutoring, advising, and other academic support services.
- • Collaborate with colleagues to share materials and improve courses.
- • Submit midterm progress reports and final grades by stated deadlines.
