Design, format, and optimize documents and visual assets using professional software to deliver brand-consistent, accessible, publication-ready materials for print and digital channels.
- • Check preliminary and final proofs for layout, spelling, and compliance, and make necessary corrections.
- • Use desktop publishing and design software to design, lay out, and produce press-ready and web-ready documents.
- • Review on-screen previews and preflight reports, adjusting typography, spacing, and layout as needed.
- • Enter and format text, selecting typefaces, hierarchy, column structures, and spacing appropriate to the deliverable.
- • Build and maintain document templates, master pages, and style sheets for consistent production.
- • Position text, tables, and graphics to create clear, visually balanced pages for print, PDF, and web.
- • Import and manage assets from scanners, cameras, and digital libraries; ensure correct resolution and formats.
- • Edit and retouch images and graphics, including masking, color correction, and background cleanup.
- • Convert and normalize files (text, images, vector art) for print and digital distribution.
- • Prepare sample layouts and prototypes for stakeholder review and approval.
- • Interpret creative briefs, brand guidelines, and content outlines to plan production steps and schedules.
- • Manage version control and archive final and working files in shared repositories or DAM systems.
- • Apply and manage color profiles, spot colors, and color separations for accurate print output.
- • Package, export, and deliver press-ready files and accessible PDFs; coordinate with printers and vendors.
- • Collaborate with designers, editors, writers, and subject matter experts to produce documents that meet specifications.
- • Add interactive elements to digital documents, such as hyperlinks, bookmarks, forms, and simple animations.
- • Ensure accessibility and usability, including tagging structure, alt text, reading order, and contrast.
- • Conduct quality assurance checks, collect feedback, and iterate to finalize publication-ready materials.
