Format text and graphics with desktop publishing software to produce publication-ready print and digital materials.
  • • Proof preliminary and final layouts; correct errors.
  • • Use desktop publishing software and peripherals to design, lay out, and produce press-ready files.
  • • Monitor on-screen previews and production cues; adjust layouts per feedback.
  • • Input and format text; set type styles, sizes, columns, and spacing.
  • • Organize and archive publication files and backups.
  • • Arrange text and graphics from multiple sources to design print and web pages using typography and layout principles.
  • • Import or capture assets via scanner, camera, or file transfer into prepress systems.
  • • Retouch and adjust images using pixel editing, masking, and airbrushing tools.
  • • Import clip art and digital photos; manage linked assets and fonts.
  • • Prepare and present sample layouts or digital proofs for approval.
  • • Review design briefs and plan the sequence of production steps.
  • • Ingest files from external media or cloud sources as needed.
  • • Convert and export files to required formats for print or online publication.
  • • Enter coordinates, color values, and other parameters to correct color and position images.
  • • Select color palettes and set up color separations.
  • • Package, upload, or deliver press-ready masters to printers or digital platforms.
  • • Collaborate with designers, editors, and writers to meet specifications.
  • • Create visual effects, composites, and basic animations or audio for electronic publications.
