Description
Perform acrobatic dance routines blending dance technique with tumbling, lifts, and stunts for stage, broadcast, or video.
  • • Teach acrobatic dance classes or workshops.
  • • Train in dance and acrobatics to maintain technique, strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • • Study and practice choreography, tumbling passes, and partner stunts required for roles.
  • • Synchronize acrobatic movement and transitions to musical rhythm and counts.
  • • Perform acro-dance routines that blend storytelling with technical stunts and dance vocabulary.
  • • Collaborate with choreographers to refine stunts, transitions, and safety-minded blocking.
  • • Coordinate timing, lifts, and group formations with partners and ensembles.
  • • Attend costume fittings, photoshoots, and makeup calls for performances.
  • • Audition for acrobatic dance roles and companies.
  • • Assess personal capabilities and risk tolerance; select stunts and skills appropriate to ability.
  • • Track trends in acro-dance, tumbling techniques, and safety practices.
  • • Choreograph acro-dance pieces for self or others.
  • • Perform acting or vocal elements as required by productions.
  • • Prepare and maintain footwear, supports, and protective gear; set and check mats as needed.
