Description
Set up, operate, and monitor crushers to reduce rock, ore, or recycled materials to specified sizes; regulate feed and moisture, ensure quality and throughput, and perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.
- • Read production orders to determine material, size specs, and throughput targets.
- • Start, stop, and adjust crushers, feeders, and conveyors.
- • Set crusher gaps and screen settings to achieve required gradation.
- • Observe equipment and material flow to ensure safe, efficient operation and detect malfunctions.
- • Inspect crushed material visually or with screens to verify conformance to specs.
- • Weigh or measure output and moisture at set intervals.
- • Record production, settings, inspections, and downtime data.
- • Clean, lubricate, and make routine adjustments to crushers and related equipment.
- • Notify supervisors or maintenance of needed repairs or abnormal conditions.
- • Reject or recirculate out-of-spec material and readjust equipment to correct issues.
- • Clean work areas and manage spillage around crushers and conveyors.
- • Move materials between hoppers, bins, and stockpiles using conveyors or mobile equipment.

- • Tend dust control, water sprays, and pumps to manage dust and moisture.
- • Collect and test samples for gradation and moisture using test equipment.
- • Submit samples to the laboratory for detailed analysis.
- • Mark bins or stockpiles by product size and type.
- • Adjust water or spray systems to regulate material moisture and dust levels.
- • Load feed hoppers evenly to maintain steady crusher feed.
- • Add blending material or conditioning agents as specified.
