Description
Design, perform, and analyze formulation experiments to develop and optimize products, ensure quality and process control, and expand technical knowledge.
- • Characterize raw materials and formulations using chromatography, spectroscopy, rheology, and particle size analysis.
- • Develop and optimize formulations, processes, and analytical methods to meet performance, cost, and regulatory targets.
- • Compile and analyze performance, stability, and process data to assess efficiency and diagnose issues.
- • Collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing to design studies, interpret results, and refine test plans.
- • Train and advise lab or production personnel on formulation and testing procedures.
- • Conduct accelerated aging, stress, and compatibility studies (heat, light, freeze–thaw) to evaluate stability and shelf life.
- • Document formulations, batch records, test methods, and specifications; write technical reports and SOPs.
- • Prepare prototypes, test solutions, and reagents per formulation protocols.
- • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot formulation and analytical instruments.
- • Perform in-process and finished-goods quality control and release testing.
- • Evaluate and improve laboratory safety, GMP/GLP, and environmental compliance procedures.
- • Support scale-up, pilot runs, and technology transfer to manufacturing, defining critical process parameters.
