Description
Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment and process lines to meet safety, quality, and output targets while documenting data and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.
  • • Clear blockages or thaw lines safely using approved methods.
  • • Adjust machine and process settings to optimize throughput, quality, and yields.
  • • Monitor HMIs, gauges, sensors, and alarms to verify process conditions meet specifications.
  • • Operate production lines and equipment via control panels and semi-automatic systems.
  • • Record operating data, test results, and equipment readings in logs or electronic systems.
  • • Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality staff to resolve safety, efficiency, or quality issues.
  • • Collect in-process samples and perform basic quality checks to verify compliance.
  • • Perform controlled shutdowns or adjustments during alarms or emergencies per procedures.
  • • Start and stop pumps, conveyors, or feeders to transfer materials, clean equipment, or regulate utilities.
  • • Observe process conditions through sight glasses or HMIs and review test reports to make adjustments.
  • • Patrol the production area to prevent spills, overflows, and unsafe conditions.
  • • Request maintenance or utilities support to correct equipment issues or adjust power, air, water, or steam.
  • • Inspect equipment such as mixers, tanks, conveyors, filters, and dryers to ensure proper operation.
  • • Coordinate with teammates operating upstream and downstream equipment to maintain flow.
  • • Operate valves and controls to regulate material flows through tanks, lines, or mixers.
  • • Calculate material requirements, batch quantities, or yields using formulas and SOPs.
  • • Check tank or hopper levels using gauges, sight glasses, or measurement tools.
  • • Perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs within authorization.
  • • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, or oversee cleaning per 5S and GMP standards.
