Description
Design, optimize, and scale industrial processes and equipment for safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing, applying principles of engineering, process control, and data analysis.
- • Develop and implement operating and safety procedures for equipment and process operations.
- • Determine optimal sequence and configuration of unit operations (e.g., reaction, heat transfer, separation, drying).
- • Prepare production cost estimates and performance reports for management.
- • Lead and coordinate commissioning, operation, and improvement of process equipment and systems.
- • Plan and execute pilot trials and scale-up studies for new or modified processes.
- • Develop and optimize separation and transformation processes to meet quality and throughput targets.
- • Conduct process development to improve yield, efficiency, and reliability.
- • Specify instrumentation and control strategies and support DCS/PLC tuning based on lab and pilot data.
- • Design and plan equipment layouts and process flows (PFDs and P&IDs).
- • Troubleshoot process upsets, quality deviations, and equipment bottlenecks.
- • Evaluate processes and equipment to optimize performance and ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- • Monitor key process variables and run tests across production stages to maintain control and capability.
- • Analyze process and experimental data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
