Deliver live play-by-play or analysis of sporting events on radio, television, or digital platforms; present sports news, scores, and features; conduct interviews; perform sponsor reads and station IDs; and collaborate with producers to plan and execute broadcasts.
  • • Provide live play-by-play or color commentary for games and events.
  • • Present pregame, halftime, and postgame shows with analysis and highlights.
  • • Prepare and deliver sports news, scores, standings, and injury updates.
  • • Break in with sports bulletins and urgent updates.
  • • Research teams, players, coaches, rules, and statistics for broadcasts.
  • • Build game notes, spotting boards, and show rundowns.

  • • Attend practices, media availabilities, and press conferences to gather information.

  • • Prepare and voice highlight packages, recaps, and feature pieces.
  • • Operate or interface with broadcast consoles and playback systems when required.
  • • Keep detailed logs of segments, spots, cues, and live reads during broadcasts.
  • • Book guests and coordinate appearances for shows.
  • • Moderate panel discussions with analysts and contributors.
  • • Collaborate on social media posts, live hits, and digital extras.
  • • Participate in remote setup checks, rehearsals, and sound checks.
  • • Verify information and adhere to league and team media policies.
  • • Emcee or host team, civic, or sponsor events connected to broadcasts.
  • • Travel to venues and file reports from the field.
  • • Maintain an archive of game notes, highlight clips, and research materials.
