Description
Teach primarily undergraduate courses in anthropology and archaeology as a teaching-focused faculty member; develop curricula, mentor students, and provide departmental service, with limited research expectations.
- • Keep abreast of developments in anthropology and archaeology through current literature and professional meetings.
- • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and discussions for undergraduate courses.
- • Evaluate and grade students' work, assignments, projects, and exams.
- • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom and online discussions.
- • Prepare syllabi, assignments, rubrics, handouts, and multimedia materials.
- • Compile, administer, and grade examinations or oversee TAs who assist with grading.
- • Supervise students' course-related laboratory, field, and experiential activities.
- • Plan, evaluate, and revise course content, curricula, and teaching methods.
- • Advise students on academic pathways, careers, and field or internship opportunities.
- • Maintain attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
