Description
Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant conditions of the genitourinary system and adrenal glands using medical, endoscopic, and surgical approaches.
  • • Teach and train medical and clinical staff.
  • • Document and review patient histories and symptoms.
  • • Provide urology consultation to physicians and other clinicians.
  • • Refer patients to subspecialists when conditions exceed scope or expertise.
  • • Supervise nurses, residents, and other staff in patient care.
  • • Use ESWL, laparoscopy, endoscopy, or laser techniques to treat urologic disorders.
  • • Manage lower urinary tract dysfunction with catheters, cystoscopes, neuromodulation, or other devices.
  • • Prescribe and administer antibiotics, analgesics, and other therapies for infection or injury.
  • • Prescribe medications for erectile dysfunction, infertility, and ejaculatory disorders.
  • • Perform abdominal, pelvic, and retroperitoneal surgeries.
  • • Deliver brachytherapy, cryotherapy, HIFU, or photodynamic therapy for prostate or other genitourinary cancers.
  • • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including PSA, urinalysis, cystoscopy, and imaging.
  • • Evaluate patients and interpret imaging such as x-rays, ultrasound, or fluoroscopy.
  • • Diagnose and treat conditions such as incontinence, kidney stones, bladder and prostate cancer, UTIs, and ED.
