Description
Diagnose and surgically treat benign and malignant disorders of the genitourinary tract and adrenal/renal glands using open, laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic techniques, and provide comprehensive perioperative care.
  • • Perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic urologic surgeries.
  • • Conduct endourologic procedures, including cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, TURP, and PCNL.
  • • Treat stone disease with ESWL, ureteroscopy, or percutaneous approaches.
  • • Perform oncologic surgeries such as radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy.
  • • Execute reconstructive procedures, including urethroplasty, pyeloplasty, and urinary diversion.
  • • Manage BPH surgically with TURP, laser enucleation, or ablation.
  • • Implant penile prostheses, slings, or artificial urinary sphincters.
  • • Provide preoperative assessment, informed consent, and postoperative care.
  • • Order and interpret PSA, imaging, and urodynamics to guide surgical decisions.
  • • Use intraoperative fluoroscopy, ultrasound, electrocautery, and laser safely.
  • • Coordinate or perform focal ablative therapies (e.g., cryotherapy, HIFU) and brachytherapy seed placement.
  • • Consult with and refer to other specialists when appropriate.
  • • Lead and supervise OR teams, residents, and nursing staff.
  • • Document histories, operative notes, and outcomes accurately.
  • • Teach surgical techniques and protocols to trainees and staff.
