Description
Operate a multi-line PBX/switchboard to manage incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls. Provide information, route calls and messages, page staff, and support emergency communications and front-desk administrative tasks.
- • Place outbound calls and set up conference calls per requests.
- • Page staff using paging or interoffice systems.
- • Relay and route written or verbal messages promptly.
- • Record clear, concise messages and confirm details.
- • Time-stamp, date, and file messages and call logs.
- • Maintain call records, directories, and charge logs.
- • Monitor alarm panels and code alerts; escalate per protocol.
- • Route emergency calls and make emergency announcements.
- • Contact security via radio or phone when issues arise.
- • Update and maintain phone directories and on-call lists.
- • Operate a multi-line PBX/switchboard, intercom, PA, and two-way radio.
