Description
Support social and behavioral research as a Research Technician by executing data collection protocols, maintaining lab operations, and managing data. Assist with participant management, quality control, statistical analyses, and preparation of publications and reports.
  • • Build, manage, and quality-check research databases.
  • • Assist with project reports, manuscripts, posters, and presentations.
  • • Obtain informed consent from participants or guardians.
  • • Run descriptive and multivariate analyses using statistical software.
  • • Audit and correct data for accuracy, completeness, and validity.
  • • Create tables, figures, and summaries of study results.
  • • Draft, edit, and submit IRB protocols and required documentation.
  • • Develop and implement study quality control procedures.
  • • Conduct literature and web-based background research.
  • • Present interim findings to the research team or stakeholders.
  • • Perform data entry and administrative tasks to support projects.
  • • Develop scripts or templates for data entry, cleaning, and analysis.
  • • Code and label data for entry and analysis.
  • • Assist in designing surveys, questionnaires, and interview guides.
  • • Screen potential participants for eligibility.
  • • Administer standardized measures or conduct research interviews.
  • • Recruit, schedule, and confirm research participants.
  • • Track participants and conduct follow-up contacts as needed.
  • • Set up, organize, and maintain lab space, equipment, and supplies.
  • • Train and coordinate student workers or interviewers.
  • • Monitor inventory and process participant reimbursements and expenses.
  • • Consult with investigators to clarify project needs and data requirements.
