Description
Collect high-quality data for social science studies by conducting interviews and surveys. Recruit, screen, consent, and schedule participants; record responses accurately; maintain confidentiality; and support protocol documentation, data quality, and basic reporting.
  • • Recruit and schedule research participants via phone, email, and in person.
  • • Screen potential participants against study eligibility criteria.
  • • Obtain informed consent and explain study purpose, risks, and rights.
  • • Administer standardized interviews and surveys using approved scripts.
  • • Conduct interviews by phone, web, or in person and record responses verbatim.
  • • Enter, code, and update interview data in survey platforms or databases.
  • • Verify accuracy and completeness of data; correct or flag errors.
  • • Maintain participant tracking logs and contact attempts; perform follow-ups.
  • • Manage appointment reminders, rescheduling, and participant incentives.
  • • Implement quality control checks and adhere to interview protocols.
  • • Prepare daily or weekly productivity and response rate reports.
  • • Assist in developing and pilot-testing questionnaires and interview guides.
  • • Edit and submit IRB and study documentation as directed.
  • • Protect participant privacy and handle sensitive data per policy.
  • • Coordinate interview logistics, locations, and technology (e.g., CATI/CAPI/Zoom).
  • • Provide debriefings and referrals required by protocol after interviews.
  • • Present field updates and preliminary summaries to the research team.
  • • Conduct brief internet or library research to support recruitment strategies.
  • • Support training and mentoring of new interviewers when assigned.
  • • Report adverse events, safety concerns, or protocol deviations promptly.
