Sell and support technically complex products and solutions, using an engineering-level background to assess requirements, design configurations, present value, and drive deals through close and successful implementation.
  • • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and define system requirements.
  • • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities and provide technical sales support.
  • • Secure and renew orders and coordinate delivery and deployment.
  • • Develop and respond to proposals and RFPs with tailored technical solutions.
  • • Sell products that require extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use.
  • • Diagnose and resolve issues with installed equipment or solutions.
  • • Recommend materials or machinery that reduce costs or increase productivity, with documented ROI.
  • • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demos to prospects and customers.
  • • Provide technical and non-technical guidance on product use, operation, and maintenance.
  • • Research and identify potential customers and new application opportunities.
  • • Visit prospects on-site to showcase offerings, pricing, availability, and advantages.
  • • Create sales or service contracts and ensure compliance with terms.
  • • Arrange and manage demonstrations, proofs of concept, or trial installations.
  • • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
  • • Attend company training to maintain deep product knowledge.
  • • Provide input for the development or customization of products and systems.
  • • Write or contribute to technical documentation and solution briefs.
  • • Develop sales plans to introduce products into new markets or segments.
  • • Identify and support resale, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • • Document account activities, generate reports, and maintain CRM records.
  • • Train colleagues or partners on customer applications and best practices.
  • • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • • Represent the company at trade shows and industry seminars.
  • • Report on prospective clients’ creditworthiness as needed.
