Description
Support individuals with behavioral, developmental, or emotional challenges by implementing behavior intervention plans under the direction of behavior analysts, psychologists, or other clinical staff. Assist with daily routines and skill building, facilitate educational and recreational activities, and accompany clients to sessions or community outings. Use de-escalation and approved safety procedures as needed to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • • Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs under supervision of a BCBA or clinical supervisor.
  • • Provide clients with routine behavioral, emotional, and daily living support.
  • • Collaborate with behavior analysts, teachers, clinicians, and families as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • • Help clients follow classroom, home, or program routines and transitions.
  • • Facilitate and reinforce participation in instructional, social, and recreational activities.
  • • Collect and chart behavior data, including ABCs and frequency, duration, or latency measures.
  • • Use proactive strategies, de-escalation, and approved safety procedures to prevent injury.
  • • Support communication development using prompting, modeling, and augmentative tools as directed.
  • • Teach self-care and independent living skills with systematic prompting and reinforcement.
  • • Model appropriate play and leisure skills and coach peer interactions.
  • • Maintain close supervision and follow elopement and safety plans during all activities.
  • • Accompany clients to therapy sessions, classes, community outings, and appointments.
  • • Prepare and organize instructional materials, visual supports, and token systems.
  • • Maintain clean, orderly, and low-stimulus environments and sanitize materials per policy.
  • • Observe and report changes in behavior, mood, or risk to supervising staff promptly.
  • • Document session notes, progress toward goals, incident reports, and family communication in required systems.
  • • Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, logging hours, and responding to calls or messages.
