Description
Maintain and process criminal records, classify and identify fingerprints, and manage mugshots and case documentation for use in investigations, background checks, and court proceedings.
- • Enter, update, and audit criminal history records in RMS, CCH, and state/NCIC systems.
- • Capture and manage booking photographs and fingerprints using LiveScan and imaging systems.
- • Identify, compare, classify, and file fingerprints in AFIS; resolve candidate hits and merge records.
- • Verify identities and link aliases, SID/FBI numbers, and case numbers across systems.
- • Process, scan, index, and archive incident, arrest, and court documents per retention schedules.
- • Retrieve, certify, and disseminate records to courts, prosecutors, defense, and authorized agencies.
- • Respond to subpoenas, public records requests, and background check inquiries in compliance with law.
- • Enter, confirm, and cancel warrants, protection orders, and other records in NCIC/state files.
- • Review and code reports for UCR/NIBRS compliance; submit crime data and correct errors.
- • Perform quality control on biometric and demographic data; resolve duplicates and expungements.
- • Seal, expunge, or purge records per court orders and agency policy; document actions.
- • Maintain audit trails, security, and CJIS compliance; protect confidential information.
- • Coordinate with officers, detectives, prosecutors, and court clerks to obtain or clarify information.
- • Provide user support and training on records procedures, RMS, AFIS, and CJIS requirements.
- • Provide on-call support for urgent record checks or after-hours confirmations.
