  • • Formulate mathematical or simulation models with defined variables, constraints, objectives, and parameters.
  • • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement chosen solutions.
  • • Elicit and analyze management inputs to define operational problems.
  • • Validate, test, and refine models to ensure adequacy and robustness.
  • • Collaborate with senior leaders to clarify objectives and solve diverse problems.
  • • Define data requirements; collect, clean, and validate data using statistical tests.
  • • Evaluate alternative courses of action to identify the best outcomes.
  • • Prepare reports that frame problems, methods, results, and recommendations.
  • • Decompose systems, quantify components, and analyze their relationships.
  • • Specify computational, optimization, and analytical methods for models.
  • • Observe current operations and gather data from multiple sources.
  • • Design, conduct, and evaluate experiments when existing data are insufficient.
  • • Develop and apply time and cost networks for planning, control, and review.
  • • Design business methods and procedures, including logistics and production schedules.
