Description
Support molecular and cellular biology research by preparing samples and reagents, executing routine assays, operating and maintaining lab equipment, and keeping accurate records under the direction of senior scientists.
- • Track and manage inventory of samples, reagents, and consumables for research projects.
- • Support bioproduct development by preparing samples, running assays, and documenting results with operations and quality teams.
- • Assist in evaluating and validating new supplies, reagents, and equipment for laboratory use.
- • Follow and help maintain biosafety and SOPs for handling infectious agents and hazardous materials.
- • Coordinate daily lab activities, sample logistics, and experiment scheduling with cross-functional teams.
- • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, troubleshoot products, and arrange equipment service.
- • Assist in onboarding and training lab members on routine procedures, equipment, and safety practices.

- • Perform routine molecular biology procedures, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
- • Operate, calibrate, and maintain instruments such as thermocyclers, electrophoresis units, flow cytometers, HPLC/GC systems, and imagers.
- • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous laboratory notebooks and electronic data records.
- • Help instruct students and users on basic laboratory techniques and proper equipment use.
- • Assist in testing and implementing new technologies, kits, and protocols to improve workflows.
- • Organize and prioritize daily lab tasks, equipment queues, and sample processing.
- • Execute and help optimize cell-based assays to monitor viability, proliferation, signaling, or reporter activity.
- • Maintain and update sample, plasmid, and reagent databases; ensure proper labeling and traceability.
- • Set up and run experiments according to established designs and protocols; perform basic data analysis.
- • Compile, QC, and summarize experimental data; report deviations and suggest procedural adjustments.
- • Carry out experiments investigating gene expression, cell signaling, or cell differentiation as directed.
- • Perform applied assays supporting projects in diagnostics, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, or microbial applications.
- • Prepare media, buffers, and reagents; manage stocks and maintain sterile technique.
- • Prepare data summaries, figures, and protocol documents for reports, SOPs, and presentations.
