  • • Verify that financial, physical, and human resources for research or development projects are used as planned.
  • • Participate in product or program development, including proposing studies, assessing needs or markets, designing experiments, and collaborating with operations and quality teams during launches.
  • • Evaluate new supplies and equipment to ensure operability and suitability in laboratory or field settings.
  • • Develop biosafety and procedural guidelines for handling organisms, samples, and pathogens.
  • • Coordinate biological research activities with scientists in other disciplines.

  • • Evaluate new technologies to enhance or complement ongoing research.
  • • Direct and prioritize biological laboratory and field activities.
  • • Develop assays or surveys to monitor organismal, population, or ecosystem characteristics.
  • • Design and manage biological datasets and databases.
  • • Design biological experiments or studies, oversee execution, and interpret results.
  • • Compile and analyze biological data and adjust study designs as necessary.
  • • Conduct research on organisms and systems, such as physiology, genetics, ecology, evolution, or behavior.
  • • Conduct applied research to improve health, agriculture, environmental management, and biotechnology.
  • • Write grant applications to obtain funding.
