Description
Provide Rolfing structural integration using deep myofascial manipulation to improve alignment, posture, and movement. Assess posture and gait, develop series-based plans, and educate clients in movement and self-care.
- • Review client histories, goals, and concerns about pain, posture, or movement to determine an approach.
- • Assess posture, alignment, gait, fascial tension, joint function, and range of motion.
- • Develop and propose individualized, series-based treatment plans (e.g., the Ten Series).
- • Apply slow, precise manual pressure and strokes to fascial layers using hands, knuckles, and elbows.
- • Manipulate soft tissues to release restrictions and improve alignment and movement efficiency.
- • Guide clients in body awareness, ergonomics, breathing, and movement education to support integration.
- • Educate clients on self-care strategies, gentle stretches, and integration practices between sessions.
- • Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes.
- • Obtain informed consent and explain session goals, methods, and expected sensations.
- • Collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and other providers when appropriate.
- • Refer clients to other health professionals for issues outside scope or requiring medical evaluation.
- • Provide sessions in studio or clinic settings; may travel to clients when needed.
- • Use minimal lubricants or tools when appropriate; prioritize manual fascial work.
- • Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment by sanitizing equipment and restocking supplies.
