Description
Welcome guests, manage reservations and waitlists, seat them promptly, and coordinate front-of-house flow to support quality service and facilities.
  • • Greet guests upon arrival.
  • • Update floor charts and server sections during service.
  • • Direct guests to restrooms, coatrooms, and waiting areas.
  • • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
  • • Take and process to-go and pickup orders.
  • • Manage reservations and call-ahead seating.
  • • Maintain waitlists and quote accurate wait times.
  • • Seat guests according to rotation, availability, and guest needs.
  • • Provide menus and highlight daily specials and features.
  • • Coordinate with servers, bar, and kitchen to pace seating and service.
  • • Process payments for takeout and front-desk transactions as needed.
  • • Inspect entry, dining, and waiting areas for cleanliness and proper setup; tidy as needed.
  • • Monitor restrooms for cleanliness and supplies; restock or notify staff.
  • • Assist by clearing and resetting tables to speed turns.
  • • Prepare high chairs, booster seats, and accessible seating as needed.
  • • Support opening and closing duties at the host stand, including stocking and organizing supplies.
  • • Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction and escalate concerns to management.
  • • Help plan seating for large parties or special events with managers.
  • • Follow safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
