Description
Advise organizations on workplace and product safety by assessing risks, interpreting regulations, and designing practical controls, training, and programs to prevent injuries, illnesses, and losses.
  • • Investigate incidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses to identify root causes and preventive actions.
  • • Develop and implement client safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • • Interpret OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and related regulations for clients and recommend compliance strategies.
  • • Design and deliver worker training on regulations, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.
  • • Review equipment, process, and facility designs for inherent safety and compliance before installation or change.
  • • Recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE controls to eliminate or reduce hazards.
  • • Evaluate the adequacy of corrective and preventive actions and verify closure.
  • • Prepare clear reports and presentations on audit findings, investigations, and testing results.
  • • Plan and coordinate industrial hygiene evaluations for air, noise, heat, and radiation exposures.
  • • Compile and analyze safety performance data and trends to guide risk reduction.
  • • Assist with risk assessments such as PHA, HAZOP, and MOC reviews.
  • • Advise on chemical management, SDS, and Hazard Communication/GHS compliance.
  • • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to verify compliance and functionality.
  • • Provide expert testimony or litigation support when required.
  • • Participate in setting internal client standards and specifications for safety performance.
  • • Conduct site audits and hazard assessments across client operations.
  • • Advise on product safety, warnings, and misuse risks, including labeling and instructions.
  • • Facilitate safety committee meetings and culture-improvement initiatives.
  • • Provide technical guidance to leadership and frontline staff on health and safety issues.
  • • Conduct job hazard analyses and ergonomic assessments.
  • • Support clients during regulatory inspections and third-party audits.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, standards, and industry best practices.
  • • Liaise with fire departments, emergency responders, and insurers to improve preparedness.
  • • Develop and test emergency response and business continuity plans.
  • • Review contractor and supplier safety programs and prequalification.
