Description
Lead day-to-day production at geothermal power plants to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient output. Oversee equipment performance, staff, budgets, and regulatory compliance across wells, gathering systems, and generation units.
  • • Conduct well field and plant site assessments.
  • • Select and implement corrosion control or mitigation programs.
  • • Communicate plant status, risks, and priorities to crews and leadership.
  • • Direct troubleshooting and minor repairs of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • • Review and maintain daily logs, production reports, and maintenance records.
  • • Prepare or oversee environmental permit applications and compliance reports.
  • • Secure permits for construction, upgrades, and operations.
  • • Plan and direct preventive maintenance on critical equipment.
  • • Negotiate and manage interconnection agreements with utilities.
  • • Monitor operations via PLC/SCADA data and performance dashboards.
  • • Identify and implement improvements to electrical equipment, controls, and process methodologies.
  • • Analyze and correct equipment, procedural, or operating inefficiencies.
  • • Develop operating plans, production targets, and schedules.
  • • Develop and manage production budgets and cost controls.
  • • Supervise and coach plant and well-field staff and contractors.
  • • Ensure operations, maintenance, and repairs meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • • Inspect plants, wellheads, and injection fields to verify proper operation.
