Description
Brew and prepare coffee and tea beverages, calibrate grinders and brewers, maintain equipment, and support service through stocking, cleaning, and quality control.
- • Store coffee beans, teas, dairy, and syrups in designated containers and areas to maintain freshness.
- • Package to-go beverages and hand them to customers or delivery staff.
- • Portion coffee beans and grounds according to brew recipes and batch sizes.
- • Hold brewed coffee in airpots or urns at proper temperatures and rotate for freshness.
- • Weigh and measure coffee, water, milk, and flavorings.
- • Assist baristas and kitchen staff as needed and retrieve required items during service.
- • Receive and store beans, dairy, syrups, filters, cups, and equipment in proper storage areas.
- • Stock condiment bars, cups, lids, straws, and refrigerated items.
- • Remove trash and empty spent grounds and compost containers.
- • Prepare and serve hot and iced coffee and tea, including batch brew, pour-over, and cold brew.
- • Carry beans, filters, and equipment to and from storage and work areas.
- • Mix house-made syrups and sauces used for coffee drinks.
- • Clean brew baskets and dump boxes and remove grounds from filters.
- • Operate grinders, brewers, kettles, and other equipment to grind and brew coffee and tea.
- • Stir, filter, and strain cold brew and tea concentrates.
- • Hand finished beverages to servers or call out orders to customers.
- • Record brew logs, batch yields, and waste.
- • Load pitchers, mugs, and utensils into dishwashers.
- • Calibrate grinders and adjust grind size for target extraction.
- • Grind coffee to specified settings for various brew methods.
- • Add napkins, condiments, and utensils to drink carriers and trays for take-out orders.
- • Blend or mix specialty iced beverages and flavored coffees as directed.
- • Provide drink menus for group orders, collect selections, and deliver beverage trays to designated areas.
- • Clean and sanitize brewing stations, equipment, utensils, and serviceware.
- • Prepare beverages according to recipes, quality standards, and customer or supervisor instructions.
- • Take and record temperatures of hot water, brewed coffee, milk, and refrigeration units.
- • Wash and prep citrus, herbs, or other garnishes used for beverages.
- • Notify supervisors of equipment issues or low stock and submit order requests.
- • Operate POS systems, handle payments, and provide correct change.
- • Sweep and mop bar and kitchen floors and tidy guest areas.
- • Assemble complete beverage orders with carriers and appropriate condiments.
