Description
Design, cut, and arrange live, dried, and artificial flowers and foliage for retail and events; source materials, maintain quality, and ensure timely delivery.
- • Teach classes, give demonstrations, or mentor junior staff.
- • Consult with clients on style, budget, and delivery details.
- • Plan designs based on client requirements and material properties, or select standard patterns.
- • Condition, cut, and clean flowers and foliage; water and maintain plants.
- • Select and combine flora and accessories to create custom arrangements.
- • Order and purchase flowers, plants, and supplies from wholesalers and growers.
- • Trim materials and assemble bouquets, centerpieces, wreaths, terrariums, and other designs using floral tools and supplies.
- • Wrap, label, and price completed arrangements.
- • Advise customers on care and handling of flowers, foliage, and indoor plants.
- • Decorate or oversee decoration of venues for weddings, events, and holidays.
- • Create and refresh in-store and window displays to enhance merchandising.
- • Perform retail tasks including customer service, phone orders, POS transactions, and basic recordkeeping.
- • Unpack and stock incoming inventory; monitor freshness and rotate stock.
- • Perform general cleaning to keep the workroom and sales floor tidy.
- • Deliver arrangements or coordinate delivery logistics.
