Description
Support floral designers by preparing, arranging, and caring for live, dried, and artificial flowers and foliage, while assisting with customer service, deliveries, and shop operations.
  • • Assist clients with selection, pricing, and delivery details under direction.
  • • Assemble arrangements to specifications or standard designs provided by designers.
  • • Water plants; cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage for storage.
  • • Select and prep flora and foliage as directed to build arrangements.
  • • Receive, check, and organize flowers and supplies from wholesalers and growers.
  • • Wrap, tag, and price completed arrangements and gifts.
  • • Trim materials and assemble bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and similar items using shop tools and supplies.
  • • Handle retail duties: greet customers, answer phones, ring sales, and maintain basic records.
  • • Explain care and handling of flowers, foliage, and indoor plants to customers.
  • • Assist with decorating venues for weddings, parties, and other events; support setup and teardown.
  • • Keep the shop clean and tidy, including workstations, coolers, and sales floor.
  • • Unpack, stock, and rotate inventory as shipments arrive.
  • • Help create and refresh in-store and window displays to enhance the shop’s image.
  • • Support classes, demonstrations, or staff training by preparing materials and assisting instructors.
  • • Deliver arrangements to customers or coordinate with delivery staff.
