Description
Research, design, plan, and execute engineering solutions to prevent, control, and remediate environmental hazards across air, water, and soil, including waste treatment, site remediation, and pollution control technologies.
- • Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and recommendation reports.
- • Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures.
- • Provide technical support for remediation and litigation projects, including system design and regulatory applicability.
- • Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs.
- • Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs to assess effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- • Provide project support by collecting data, documenting, training staff, and other administrative duties.

- • Assess, sort, characterize, and pack known or unknown materials.
- • Request bids from suppliers and consultants.
- • Provide environmental engineering support for network and regulatory analyses or for planning and reviewing database development.
- • Design, or supervise the design of, systems, processes, and equipment to control, manage, or remediate water, air, and soil quality.
- • Direct installation and operation of environmental monitoring devices and supervise related data collection.
- • Prepare and present public briefings on environmental engineering project status.
- • Write reports or articles for websites or newsletters on environmental engineering issues.
- • Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and legal or business specialists to solve environmental problems.
- • Support planning, quality assurance, safety protocols, and sampling for multimedia inspections at complex facilities.
- • Prepare, maintain, and revise quality assurance documentation and procedures.
