Description
Plan, develop, and execute verification, validation, and qualification testing of electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Design test strategies, fixtures, and automation; analyze results; ensure compliance with specifications, safety, and regulatory standards; and drive root-cause and corrective actions.
- • Develop test plans, procedures, and protocols to verify and validate electronic components and systems.
- • Design and implement test systems, fixtures, and automated test scripts for lab and production use.
- • Inspect and test hardware to ensure conformance to specifications, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
- • Coordinate build, installation, and maintenance of test equipment across engineering and manufacturing.
- • Create and execute environmental, reliability, and stress tests (e.g., thermal, vibration, HALT/HASS).
- • Plan and conduct EMC/EMI and safety compliance testing and support certification activities.
- • Prepare test setup schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications for labs or lines.
- • Maintain and calibrate test instruments, measurement systems, and related documentation.
- • Analyze test data using statistical methods; summarize results and trends in clear reports.
- • Investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- • Define design-for-test requirements and coverage with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
- • Develop methods to characterize electronic properties and performance under operating conditions.
- • Use CAE, data acquisition, and automation tools to implement tests and process results.
- • Evaluate test coverage, traceability, risks, and effectiveness to ensure technical adequacy.
- • Confer with engineers, customers, and vendors to refine test requirements and acceptance criteria.
- • Recommend design or process modifications based on test outcomes and field-return analysis.
- • Provide technical training and support on test methods, standards, and equipment operation.
- • Prepare and maintain test plans, procedures, logs, defect records, and compliance documentation.
- • Estimate and manage test resources, schedules, and costs; track and control expenditures.
- • Assess power consumption and energy efficiency during testing to validate green performance claims.
