Define standards, integration patterns, and roadmaps; evaluate technologies; and guide implementation to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • • Elicit and translate business and technical requirements into architecture specifications.
  • • Advise on solution options, design trade-offs, and total cost of ownership.
  • • Produce architecture diagrams, interface contracts, and implementation guidelines.
  • • Validate architecture for scalability, reliability, security, and interoperability.
  • • Partner with engineers to select technologies and ensure component compatibility.
  • • Assess emerging technologies for fit, risk, and value.
  • • Provide technical leadership during design, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • • Define required data models, services, infrastructure, and integrations.
  • • Establish security patterns and hardening guides for implementations.
  • • Define observability and operational monitoring strategies.
  • • Lead end-to-end system analysis and architecture reviews.
  • • Evaluate component suitability and recommend build/buy/partner decisions.
  • • Set lifecycle, patching, and upgrade strategies; oversee change control.
  • • Specify server, container, and cloud configurations; approve deployment patterns.
  • • Develop and review project architecture plans, milestones, and budgets.
  • • Scope initiatives and assess organizational and technical impacts.
  • • Author and maintain reference architectures and integration blueprints.
  • • Define test strategies (performance, resilience, security) and review results.
  • • Establish architecture standards, principles, and guardrails.
  • • Assess existing systems and propose modernization or optimization paths.
  • • Govern patch validation and release readiness in pre-production.
  • • Communicate architecture decisions via ADRs, roadmaps, and technical briefs.
  • • Build models and simulations to forecast capacity and performance.
  • • Oversee rollout strategies, cutover plans, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • • Mentor engineering teams on architecture practices and tools.
  • • Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
  • • Define application architecture patterns and APIs; guide implementation.
