Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate an organization's compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and effective administration.
  • • Advise management on compensation, benefits, pay equity, and related EEO, anti-discrimination, and harassment compliance.
  • • Direct preparation and distribution of employee communications about benefits, compensation, and related policies.
  • • Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs, including integration following mergers and acquisitions.
  • • Coordinate compensation and benefits components of new-employee orientation to support effective onboarding.
  • • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate staff work related to compensation, benefits, and related employee relations matters.
  • • Identify and implement benefits that enhance employee well-being by partnering with brokers and analyzing market trends.
  • • Design, evaluate, and update benefits policies to remain current, competitive, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • • Analyze compensation policies, market data, and regulations to develop and maintain competitive pay structures.
  • • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies, procedures, and programs in coordination with HR and business leaders.
  • • Serve as liaison between benefits providers and employees, resolving inquiries and issues.
  • • Ensure compliance and reporting for ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FLSA, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • • Maintain records and compile statistical reports on compensation, benefits, headcount, turnover, and related HR metrics.
  • • Analyze HR and benefits data to identify root causes of issues and recommend improvements to total rewards practices.
  • • Develop and implement process improvements and technology solutions for compensation and benefits administration.
  • • Support labor relations by providing compensation and benefits analysis and participating in bargaining as needed.
  • • Represent the organization in compensation- or benefits-related audits, hearings, and investigations.
  • • Partner with leaders to prepare job descriptions, conduct job evaluations, and maintain job classification frameworks.
  • • Manage compensation planning cycles and tools, guiding managers on merit, bonus, equity, and pay decisions.
  • • Develop and manage compensation and benefits budgets and forecasts.
  • • Select and manage vendors for benefits, retirement, wellness, and related employee services.
  • • Monitor legislation, arbitration decisions, market surveys, and industry trends affecting pay and benefits.
  • • Oversee open enrollment, total rewards communications, and employee education initiatives.
