Description
Drive a bus on scheduled routes, charters, or special services to safely transport passengers. Assist with boarding and baggage and handle fares or tickets.
- • Inspect the bus and check fuel, oil, coolant, and other fluids before departure.
- • Park at designated loading areas for passenger boarding.
- • Report delays, incidents, or accidents promptly.
- • Advise passengers to remain seated and orderly.
- • Regulate heating, air conditioning, and ventilation for comfort.
- • Load and unload baggage in compartments.
- • Drive assigned routes or to destinations on schedule, obeying traffic laws for a smooth, safe ride.
- • Assist elderly and disabled passengers with boarding, seating, baggage, and route information.
- • Handle passenger emergencies or disruptions.
- • Record fares, receipts, and trip logs.
- • Collect tickets, passes, or cash fares.
- • Maintain cleanliness of the bus.
- • Announce stops and service information.
- • Read maps or use navigation tools to plan or adjust routes.
