Description
Curate and serve specialty coffees; educate guests on origins and flavor profiles; pair coffees with food; and ensure quality through equipment calibration and bean selection.
  • • Prepare and serve specialty coffees, espresso drinks, cold brew, and teas to exacting standards.
  • • Conduct cuppings and sensory evaluations to select and profile coffees.
  • • Calibrate grinders, brewers, and espresso machines; monitor water quality and temperatures.
  • • Sanitize and maintain brewing, tasting, and service equipment and work areas.
  • • Maintain cleanliness and ambiance of service and seating areas.
  • • Guide guests through flavor profiles and recommend coffees and pairings based on preferences.
  • • Select, order, receive, and stock specialty beans, brewing supplies, and retail merchandise.
  • • Explain origins, processing methods, roast levels, and brew recipes to customers.
  • • Process customer orders and payments.
  • • Serve and suggest food pairings, such as pastries, cheeses, or desserts.
  • • Stock service stations with cups, filters, condiments, and tasting tools.
  • • Take and coordinate customer orders with bar and kitchen teams.
  • • Weigh, grind to specification, and package beans for retail customers.
  • • Label, date, and track lot details to ensure freshness and traceability.
  • • Create signage, tasting notes, and menus to promote coffees, flights, and events.
  • • Demonstrate brewing techniques and equipment use to guests and staff.
  • • Assemble curated coffee flights and signature beverages.
  • • Set up and refresh retail and bean displays.
  • • Prep garnishes and accompaniments for tastings and service; manage waste and recycling.
