Description
Operate and manage a barber shop while delivering professional barbering services, including cutting, trimming, shampooing, styling, beard grooming, and shaves; oversee staff, scheduling, inventory, sanitation, compliance, customer service, and daily financial operations.
- • Provide haircuts and trims per client requests and current styles using clippers, shears, combs, and blow dryers.
- • Shape and trim beards and mustaches; apply lather and perform straight-razor shaves.
- • Shampoo, condition, and style hair; offer basic color or texture services as allowed.
- • Drape clients and maintain proper protection and comfort during services.
- • Consult with clients to determine desired services and recommend styles or treatments.
- • Maintain shop sanitation; clean and sterilize tools; ensure stations and floors are tidy.
- • Enforce health, safety, and state barbering regulations and maintain licenses.
- • Manage daily opening and closing procedures and shop appearance.
