Description
Provide professional barbering services, including cutting, trimming, shampooing, and styling hair; shaping beards and mustaches; and performing hot lather shaves.
- • Sanitize and disinfect scissors, combs, clippers, razors, and other tools.
- • Cut and trim hair per client instructions or current styles using clippers, scissors, combs, and blow dryers.
- • Drape and secure protective capes around clients.
- • Consult with clients to determine desired services and haircut styles.
- • Clean and organize workstations; sweep and dispose of hair.
- • Process payments and/or record services rendered.
- • Manage or assist with ordering and inventory of supplies.
- • Shape and trim beards and mustaches with scissors and trimmers.
- • Stay current on trends, techniques, and barbering best practices.
- • Recommend treatments or products to address hair and scalp concerns.
- • Shampoo and condition hair before or after services.
- • Maintain client records, including service history, products used, and pricing.
- • Perform basic administrative duties such as scheduling, bookkeeping, and, when applicable, supervising staff.
- • Provide hair coloring or texture services when requested, following safety protocols.
- • Apply hot lather and shave beards or outline neck and temple areas with razors.
- • Recommend and retail grooming products, lotions, and tonics.
- • Provide relaxing face, neck, and scalp massages.
