Description
Manage and coordinate alternative dispute resolution programs to help parties resolve conflicts outside the court system. Oversee intake, case assignment, scheduling, and documentation while supporting neutrals and parties to ensure neutral, efficient, and compliant processes.
  • • Conduct intake with disputants to clarify issues, assess suitability, and identify needs and interests.
  • • Explain ADR options, processes, timelines, and ground rules to parties and stakeholders.
  • • Screen cases for eligibility, conflicts of interest, risk, and confidentiality requirements.
  • • Assign mediators or arbitrators based on case type, expertise, and neutrality.
  • • Schedule and coordinate mediation, arbitration, and conciliation sessions and pre-conferences.
  • • Prepare case files, agendas, and briefing materials for neutrals and parties.
  • • Facilitate pre-session communication to gather information and set expectations.
  • • Maintain case management systems, track milestones, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • • Draft and route settlement agreements or memoranda of understanding for review and signature.
  • • Ensure compliance with applicable ADR policies, statutes, and confidentiality or privilege rules.
  • • Collect, organize, and safeguard documents and communications per records policies.
  • • Liaise with courts, counsel, HR, and community partners on referrals, status updates, and outcomes.
  • • Coordinate logistics for sessions and hearings, including venues, remote technology, interpreters, and accommodations.
  • • Provide or arrange training and outreach on ADR processes for staff and community organizations.
  • • Monitor program quality, gather participant feedback, and recommend process improvements.
  • • Prepare reports and metrics on caseloads, cycle times, settlements, and program outcomes.
  • • Manage vendor relationships, rosters, and contracts for neutrals and support services.
  • • Process invoices, fee agreements, and budget tracking related to ADR matters.
  • • Uphold neutrality, cultural competency, and trauma-informed practices in all interactions.
  • • When appropriate, facilitate low-complexity mediations or conflict coaching sessions.
