Description
Support actuarial work by analyzing statistical and financial data to evaluate risk, forecast liabilities, and inform pricing and reserving for insurance and retirement products. Build and validate models, probability tables, and reports under supervision to support regulatory filings, financial reporting, and business decisions.
  • • Analyze mortality, morbidity, lapse, and claims data to estimate experience and trends.
  • • Build and maintain probability tables, rating tools, and actuarial models under guidance.
  • • Assist in pricing insurance, annuity, and pension products, including premium rate indications.
  • • Support reserve analyses, cash flow testing, and liability projections.
  • • Prepare exhibits and reports for financial statements, regulatory filings, and actuarial memoranda.
  • • Help determine cash reserve needs and evaluate capital impacts.
  • • Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, finance, and IT on product design and enhancements.
  • • Automate datasets, models, and dashboards using Excel, SQL, R, Python, or SAS.
  • • Document assumptions, methods, and results, and maintain model governance and controls.
  • • Support reinsurance analyses, treaty administration, and pricing recommendations.
  • • Assist in asset-liability management and risk analytics for investment or credit exposures.
  • • Contribute to surplus and dividend analyses for participating products.
  • • Prepare clear summaries and presentations translating technical findings for stakeholders.
  • • Support client deliverables and respond to auditor or regulator inquiries.
